Health Coach Builds 7-Figure Business In Less Than 2 Years With Only N10 and a Box of Indomie

Hello Africa!

We have with us a delectable and sensational charming woman with a hunger for success and nothing less. She is a two time Amazon bestseller, a onetime Celebrity Fashion Designer, Health Coach and Sensational Writer.

While others may complain about what they lack, Health coach Remi Owadokun is a phenomenal being who knows that what she has is plentiful and uses them to her advantage. ‘Too Late To Be Nobody’ is a popular mantra which she is known for. Let’s pick from her brain a little, Shall we?

Tell us about yourself; family ethnicity, education, base/location…

I live in Brazil, I am half Brazilian, half Nigerian. Born in Brazil, raised in Nigeria. I have two brothers and my mom. My father is late.

I had my Primary and Secondary School education in Lagos. After starting my business as a Fashion designer in 2009, in 2012 I went to Italy for a Diploma in Men’s Fashion. In 2013/2014 I started and completed a Certification as a Health Coach after losing 40kg naturally and keeping it off.

What specific solutions do you deliver in the marketplace?

I am a Certified Health Coach, Founder of the Total Makeover Program and we are dedicated to equipping individuals to live a Happy, Healthy & Better life. We provide them with the resources to equip them mentally, emotionally, spiritually, environmentally & physically

What inspired you to start this business?

My life was my inspiration. I was the definition that you can achieve and become anything you desire.

I started off as a fashion designer, knowing no one and ended my career as a Celebrity Fashion Designer of Nigeria’s Finest artists. I ended the business and took a break for one year.

I started a business based on my life experience, knowing no one and with only N10 in my wallet and a box of indomie, built it into a 7 figure business in less than 2 years. With clients in 8 countries and over 1,000 people on the Online Academy.

What has been the most effective strategy you have used to grow your business?

Excellence in service, client relationship and referrals.

How have you effectively leveraged the power of social media to push your message?

My business is purely online, so using social media was basically my only option. I believe I have done a pretty good job. Social media is always evolving so it keeps us on our toes, I like that.

What are some of the major challenges you have encountered so far and how did you overcome them?

Time management. When I started out, I was doing only one-on-one coaching and whatever business you do that depends solely on your time is bound to put a cap on how much revenue you can generate.

I was able to create a number of online courses and sell them on our academy. That way people get value and results without depending on my availability and I can sell to a billion people and be unaffected by it as it is already pre-recorded and does not require my presence.

I have also had to rely on a number of tools that help me schedule my emails and posts. Getting a team to handle and share some of my responsibilities has been great.

When I was in Nigeria, quality and cost of internet was a real pain and of course electricity.

Anytime I am in Nigeria, I have to just remind myself to do my best with what is available.

This problem is yet to be resolved, I have just found a way to work with it.

When I have a trip scheduled for Lagos, I schedule all my content before getting on the plane, so that if for some reason I don’t have access; I don’t suffer, my business does not suffer too.

Where do you see your business 5 years from now?

It is hard to say specifically. I always have one thing planned but there is so much evolution right now in the tech space and the world in general and it ends up changing the scope of things.

What I can say though is, I would love to have reached, touched & transformed many many more lives. So whatever takes us there this year we do, whatever takes us there next year we do.

We are a flexible company.

Any mentor(s)? What is the best advice you have ever received from your Mentor(s)?

Yes I have a mentor, who I learn from in close quarters and I have a teacher, who I learn from via his courses.

Both have given me the same advice in different forms:

“Know thyself”

“Be self aware”

For you, Excellence in Business is all about ….

Giving 120% with whatever you have. You don’t need to have everything, you don’t have to wait until you “hammer” before you give exceptional and remarkable service. Wherever you are, it is enough to give that levels version of excellence.

Where can we find out more about you (website, social media, new book/course being released)?

www.totalmakeoverprogram.com (old site still up, rebranded website up Feb 1st)

@totalmakeoverp (IG & Twitter)

New Book – “Total Makeover – You deserve to live your best life” out in February

Courses available on www.tmpacademy.com/learn/shop

Many thanks for sharing with us

It was my pleasure.

From being a two-time Amazon bestseller to being a Celebrity Fashion Designer and finally (or semi-finally; they are a flexible company remember!) a Certified Health Coach, Remi Owadokun is a hit back to back. She is one rare polymath. Whoever sold us the lie of one profession. You can be all that you want to be, there’s no limit! Thank you for reading.
