He is the Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel churches which has a network of local assemblies in Ghana, Europe, the United States and other parts of Africa. The International Central Gospel Church is an Evangelical Christian Church. It was officially inaugurated as a church on 26th February 1984, in Accra, Ghana. The first meeting was held in a small classroom with a total of twenty people. Again in 1988, the church instituted an educational scholarship scheme, known as Central Aid, to finance the education of selected needy students in pre-tertiary educational institutions. This scheme is now considered the largest non-governmental scholarship programme for students in pre-tertiary education in Ghana.
As per the church site, “The International Central Gospel Church is a socially conscious Christian church which upholds the philosophy of Human dignity and Excellence. It engages in promoting and staging events whose impact have reached to the depths of the Ghanaian society and brought Christ to the doorsteps of the people.”
In 1988, the Church founded the Central Bible College. In 1993, it became the Christian University College and became the Central University College (CUC) in the year 1997 after a change of name. It is the first [and rated the best] privately owned University College in Ghana. The University was incorporated in June 1991 and gradually upgraded its programmes to the baccalaureate level and expanded it programme to include an integrated and practice-oriented business school. A Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences was later established as well as Schools of Architecture and Pharmacy in the 2008/2009 academic year. Among its achievements, the CUC was the first private University in Ghana to run a weekend school that affords workers the flexibility of combining work and study in their desire to improve their education.
