Kenya seems to have more than its fair share of female media personalities, who knew? From Julie Gichuru to Patricia Amira, Terryanne Chebet is yet another ‘Top Cat’ in Kenyan media circles and beyond.

Terryanne trained at the School of Information & Advertising where she earned a Diploma, in Television and Radio production, Public Relations and Advertising from 2001 – 2004. She is currently a student of the United States International University Kenya where she is training to earn an IBA, International Business Administration- Marketing although she has taken a break due to work commitments .

Born in Kitale, Kenya, the charismatic Terryanne left home at 18 to search for her dream, and she found it!

The Business News Anchor who recently went ‘afrocentric’ with her hairdo, reports on news and business stories from across the African Continent, interviewing Heads of State, Global Business leaders, Policy makers and change-making CEO’s. From President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, former President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria, Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, President Abdulla Gul of Turkey, Sir Richard Branson, Former IMF Chief Dominique Strauss Khan, Africa Development Bank President, Donald Kaberuka, Economist Jeffery Sachs, Head of Africa for the World Economic Forum Katherine Tweedie, Baroness Linda Chalker, World Women Banking CEO Mary Ellen Iskenderian, the list as the saying goes is inexhaustible.

The multi-talented entrepreneur and CEO of Scarlet Digital Kenya, a Firm which specializes in Digital Brand Strategy, Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Online Advertising and Media buying, Content generation and Public Relations, first made her mark as an actress in  local productions as part of the Phoenix Theatre Group; she graduated to delivering lunch time news on the National Broadcaster as well as producing and directing various TV shows such as Kids Unlimited and Code 254. From 2006 – 2007, Terryanne worked as a Client Service Executive at Express Advertising, climbing up the ladder to become a Reporter / Producer at CNBC Africa from 2007 -2010. From 2010 – 2012 she served as the Associate Editor and Business News Anchor at Citizen TV. After a stint at K24, Terryanne recently doubled back to Citizen TV.

The pretty lady who doubles or triples as a Moderator, Anchor, Speaker, Writer, Poet and Blogger has been nominated for the Diageo Africa Business Reporting awards & Kalasha Awards.
