You chose to make a difference in Africa because…
I want to build an Africa my children and their children can be Proud of.
Most important tip for remaining successful?
Thank God for unanswered prayers. Rejection normally leaves you open for a better opportunity and if you are patient enough you will see the reason why you were rejected. So, thank God for unanswered prayers, sometimes they are His greatest gift to mankind.
If you could change one thing about your life/past, what would it be?
It took me 18 years to work on my temper. If I could change one thing, I would have worked on it earlier.
How do you keep motivated in the face of failure/disappointment?
I thank God for unanswered prayers and believe that they are for a divine purpose.
Time-management tips?
When you are on time, you are late. Be Early.
Best way to translate dreams to reality?
WAKE UP AND WORK HARD.
Women must arise and take a stand because…
We get things done. Queen Esther (Torah/Bible) was the heroine who got the Jewish people pardoned. Aisha (Prophet Muhammad S.A.W’s wife) contributed vastly to the growth and development of Islam. The women of Liberia contributed to bringing peace in Liberia. The women of Ashanti Ghana, were ready to die/and some did die for their dignity and the dignity of their people. Zambian women stripped and helped in chasing away colonial masters.
Today, women all over Africa, Christian or Muslim, (or any other faith) are able to arise and take a stand because of these women in history who paved the way. We do not need to strip, or beg a King for freedom or document a religion but we must arise in our own right, in our fields of work, in our countries and bring up our children and our nations in the right way.
A decade onward, you will be?
This is going to be a purposeful decade for me by God’s will and grace. 10 years from now I will be 30, with a sustainable multi-African national social enterprise, a growing commercial conglomerate, with a beautiful family probably with two children and looking forward to another ten years. You just made me smile at that thought.
Africa will truly rise when…
We bring back the UBUNTU culture and realize that having more education or financial resources is in vain if it does not help the least of our brothers. The Africa I want is an Africa without people living at the “Bottom of the Pyramid” on less than $1 a day.
