No Gratification
An Affair Undiscovered..
Lydia and her paramour Mr Uduma liaise at their rendezvous in his Pool House and discuss the pitfalls of their continuing affair and her fears that her husband may be onto them. They decide on alternative love-nests that where their treacherous business will go undiscovered.
Irregular Structures…
Council members arrive to serve a notice of demolition on Mr Uduma’s Pool house. Threats and counter-threats rent the air as the team leader insists that Mr Uduma pay a visit to the council centre within 7 days to ‘settle’ them or face the demolition of his pool house. Mr Uduma calls their bluff and insists that he doesn’t give bribes or pay gratification!
Lydia is distraught as she laments that her Buka has also been marked for demolition, and Mr Uduma tries to console and re-assure her. She hints that their estranged Landlord Mr Johnson is the reason for their recent woes as he utilises the council members as his attack dogs against his unyielding tenants.
Pa Momoh and Adolphus the Debtor
Adolphus hopes that he has been excluded from the blanket ‘Notice to Quit’ served on the tenants of Endurance Villa but is heartbroken to discover that this is not the case. He implores Pa Momoh to beg Mr Johnson on his behalf and get a continuance because he has been a staunch supporter of the Landlord.
Well, well, I daresay the polity is getting pretty heated…will Endurance Villa endure?
