Led By God.
“And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him…” (Matthew 4 vs 2,3). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
Jesus fasted for forty days. He was hungry and totally famished. While the hunger was still on; Scriptures record that Jesus was once again led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Its challenging enough to know he was hungry, it becomes absolutely distressing to know that he was taken to the Wilderness (a dry parched place). It becomes altogether frustrating to know that he was even there to be tempted by the devil. What a Complication! Wait a minute, Scriptures said, “The Spirit of God led him…”.
The situation may have been more challenging but the Spirit of God was still at work. It may seem that the challenges were coming in chains but God was still in charge. It may appear like a complex complication but God was still in control.
Friend, the mere fact that issues have become complicated doesn’t mean that God has abandoned you. The mere fact that things seem to be deteriorating doesn’t mean that God has forsaken you. The fact that this is your ‘trial’ moment doesn’t mean that God has given up on you.
Remember, the temptation of Jesus ended in absolute Victory. You will definitely come out of all these with smiles on your lips. Dry bones will live again! Your Roses will certainly bloom again. Don’t quit praying because you prayed and things still went bad. Don’t quit praising because you praised without results.
That negative situation and condition won’t last. You will laugh again. Wipe those tears. God won’t fail you. NEVER! What you are going through will form part of your testimony before the year runs out. You will SOON celebrate! Yesssss!
Pray with me, “Lord, I know you are in charge, I will come out of all these with great laughter in Jesus name”.
Have a Blessed Sunday!
