A Konnect Africa Interview with Emmanuel Omenako-Danquah Antwi: Rising Ghananian Entrepreneur

It is another Konnect Africa interview.

Today we have on our Hot Seat, the Founder of Perfect Cleanse Industry, a business operating out of Kumasi in Ghana. His name is Emmanuel Omenako-Danquah Jnr Antwi.

Tonight, he will be sharing with us his story, how he got started in business, how he created and packaged these lovely products and what he is doing to grow his Enterprise.
You also get the opportunity to ask him questions, learn from him and also provide your own insights that can help him grow his business.
Without much ado, let’s welcome Emmanuel Omenako-Danquah Antwi.

Tell us about Emmanuel Omenako-Danquah Jnr – family, ethnicity, education…

I am Emmanuel Omenako Danquah. a citizen of Ghana. I hold a wassce certificate. I am a student cum entrepreneur and has been managing Perfect Farms LTD. since 2014 and Perfect Cleanse Industry since January 2016. I am a Christian by faith.

Please tell us about your Business and how it all began. What exactly informed your decision to start it?

This whole business started when I quit my last job with SAMATEX TIMBER AND PLYWOOD COMPANY LIMITED as a data entry clerk. I only worked for 8 days. This adds up to my one year employment as a classroom teacher with PRESBY MODEL SCHOOL.

I have sometime ventured into Poultry Farming. This time round , I thought of adding another form of business which is on high demand. This idea lead me to establish PERFECT CLEANSE INDUSTRY

The packaging of your products is really nice. How did you achieve that?

I process my products under strict health conditions. Due to this, I use a a white bottle in the packaging. Also, I decided to use the colors green and yellow in the designing because of the rich agricultural elements in my products. Finally, the name PERFECT CLEANSE comes in to speak for the product itself.

Do you do this business full-time?

No

Technology is a huge part of successful businesses these days. How have you effectively deployed technology to grow your business?

Technology has helped me search for information about the current trends in soap making. Technology has also help me to reach to many customers on various media platforms

Without selling skills, a business is dead on arrival. How do you effectively promote product and drive sales?

I effectively promote my products by word of mouth and on social media platforms

The numbers side of your business, how do you track it? How do you ensure you are on top of the financial and non-financial numbers your business is spitting out?

I do store information about my production and sales in an Excel Application. Apart from storing it, I do weekly analysis, in case of any variation, I put in corrective measures to address the difference

What are some of the major challenges you have encountered in business thus far?

For those who are interested in venturing into your line of Business, what candid advice would you give them?

The fear of the Lord, determination and hard work.

What do you enjoy most about being an Entrepreneur?

What I love most is being my own boss and constantly rediscovering myself

What would you say is your biggest achievement since you started out?

Creating avenues for employment has been my greatest achievement

Do you have any staff that works with you and for you?

On a contract basis, I have.

What is your inspiration? What keeps you going?

Compassion inspires me to be creative and add value out of love. Ego tells me not to give up and that is the pride I have, this keeps me going.

Any mentors?

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, a Nigerian and Mr. Osei Kwame Despite, a Ghanaian are my mentors.

Life is about passion, freedom and love. I will only walk this road once; I might as well make the most of it.
