Hurriedly, I did, but I was shocked to my bone.
What a pain! I bled from the strike of the stone,
My heart burned with guilt, it really did hurt,
How quickly did I forget, my sins put me on the spot.
Bowed in shame, covered in my blood, waiting for death.
Then I heard Him say, ‘I’ll give you life now, and beyond earth’.
Did I have a choice? Yes. I knew the right one.
I believed Him and wow! Now, life’s mine, and death’s gone!
