“…and thou shalt come to the Plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: and they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread…” (1 Samuel 10 vs 3-4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
When Saul met the three men who were on the way to Bethel, he got two loaves of Bread. In Old Testament times, Loaves of Bread were used as Thanksgiving Offerings (Leviticus 7 vs 13). So, Saul met three men and he received items that were meant for thanksgiving. He needed thanksgiving items on his journey to the Place of his announcement as King.
Notice that at this stage, Saul was still undergoing the Processes which culminated in Kingship. He was yet to be announced as King of Israel. His manifestation was yet to happen. The thing that was worth thanking God for (Kingship) was yet to manifest in his life. So, Saul needed thanksgiving for an announcement that was yet to be made in Israel. Thanksgiving was a major pre-requisite in his journey to Royalty.
Today, glean a lesson from Saul’s life: Thank God for the things that are yet to be completed in your life. Thank Him for dreams that are yet to become reality. Thank Him for answers to your prayers that you are yet to receive.
It is so natural to wait for things to happen before thanking God; can I dare you to take it a notch higher by thanking God even when you can’t see find the reason for thanksgiving. You have prayed about that issue enough. Switch to PRAISE MODE! Your thanksgiving is just the wrapping sheets for your miracles .
In this season of thanksgiving, get the Praise Party on, Your Praise is a major warfare tool in the realm of the Spirit.
Pray with me, “Lord,I choose to Praise and thank you for the miracles that I am yet to see manifest in my life”.
Have a Fabulous Friday.
