“Then Samuel took a Vial of Oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be Captain over his Inheritance?”.(1 Samuel 10 vs 1). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional.
In Today’s Focal Scripture, Prophet Samuel anointed Saul to signify his elevation to Kingship. The anointing oil in Old Testament contained different spices including ‘Cassia’ and ‘Cinnamon’ (Exodus 30 vs 22-25). Both Cassia and Cinnamon are Sweeteners. So, Saul was anointed with an Oil that Sweetened his life. God empowered him for Kingship by adding double Sweetness to his life!
Remember in Acts 10 vs 38, Peter declared that Jesus was anointed with Holy Ghost and with Power. Therefore, the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives brings Sweetness to our Destiny.
Friend, Our Friend, the Holy Spirit whom we have been anointed with is set to bring a new wave of Sweetness to our lives today. The Sweetening Power of the Holy Spirit on your tongue will make men to listen to you and obey you. The Sweetening Power of God’s Spirit makes your ideas and strategies to rule the world with ease; it makes your marriage sweeter inspite of your previous travails. It gives you extraordinary results from ordinary efforts and makes you the gold standard in your generation.
Allow the Holy Spirit take the driver’s seat of your life and he will sweeten you beyond your wildest imaginations. He is such a great friend. He lives in you, He is right by you now smiling, just let Him lead the way…
