The African Radio Drama Association Presents ‘Rainbow City’ Episode 16

Rainbow City

Man Pass Man

Madam Asabe and Chris have a friendly convo concerning Mr Johnson’s opposition in the forthcoming election, Mr Maku.

Chris is convinced that this Mr Maku has the goods to lead effectively via the promises contained in his campaign banner. Madam Asabe concurs that Mr Maku has a sterling reputation as an employer and leader.

They disperse hurriedly upon sighting Adolphus, the obnoxious, self-appointed Campaign Manager for Mr Johnson.

The Re-Negotiation

Pa Momoh pays the long-awaited visit to Mr Johnson but the visit doesn’t start off on a good note-Mr Johnson is furious to hear that Mr Maku’s posters are littered around Endurance Villa. Afraid to come forth with his proposal, Pa Momoh spins a web of wise sayings and parables and finally arrives at his conclusion; a bag of rice for Madam Asabe, a tin of oil for Lydia, and so on and so forth will ensure that the tenants of Endurance Villa vote for Mr Johnson and bring an end to all strife. Mr Johnson is elated to hear that his tenants will be swayed by such gifts and promises to comply.

Supermarket & Sales

Vero has fit into her job as Salesgirl as a fish in water, much to the admiration of her co-worker, Christy who also teases her about her relationship with Chris- the benefactor to whom she owes her employment.

Endurance Villa is free of strife and clashes for now, but could it be the calm before the storm?

This is a Production of the African Radio Drama Association [ARDA]
