Sunday 19th May was the official launching of Project New Bamenda. The event was attended by numerous guests and personalities from Bamenda and beyond at the Bamenda Congress Hall.
Together, they spent the night celebrating the beginning of a new era in Bamenda with a glamorous red carpet, a colourful fashion show by Florentino Designs, Afrochic Clothing, Aju B and KibonenNY; a cheered Milestones Awards that recognized achievements by entrepreneurs of the North West Region, the launching of the first-ever business directory of the Region, the Big Yellow Pages and the performance of artists of the new era.
The success of that launch has surpassed the expectations of the team of Project New Bamenda. The welcome that the public has showed to the project, the encouragement, the support and the impact of Project New Bamenda on the people of Bamenda as well as the other parts of Cameroon is amazing.
The team is already at work taking Project New Bamenda to the next step. Many activities are being planned and will be implemented throughout the year 2013. One of the main focuses is “The incubator Program” which will help the young people of Bamenda to network with professionals, discover their talents, and acquire skills, experience and funding.
Others activities including concerts, festivals, fashion shows, seminars, trainings and so on will also take place to make Bamenda the next spot for business and entertainment in Cameroon.
