When the devil brought Jesus to the temple,he asked Jesus to jump down from the top and be sure of divine deliverance by angels. The temple in Jerusalem was a beehive of activities.
Now,the devil asked Jesus to jump from the pinnacle of the temple, and expect a miracle. He asked Jesus to jump down in hope of a miracle that had nothing to do with his destiny. He asked Jesus to seek a miracle that may have fascinated everyone at the temple, yet highly irrelevant in God’s sight. He asked Jesus to seek a miracle that had no link to God’s plan for sending Jesus. He urged Jesus on for a miracle that would probably make news, but will definitely add no value to Jesus’ destiny.
Friend, as you ponder on these words; hear God’s instruction to you:- Don’t seek the kind of miracles that will truncate your destiny. Don’t seek for wealth that will take you to the wrong direction in life. Don’t seek to attain heights that have no relevance in your destiny.
Remember, when the Israelites persisted in their quest for meat in the wilderness, God gave them meat but He gave leanness to their souls. He gave them what they wanted,but they lost who they were.
Ask God today for a destiny compliant miracle. Not every breakthrough will take you through!
