Men On Assignment III

“…and thou shalt come to the Plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Bethel, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: and they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread…” (1 Samuel 10 vs 3-4). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.

STREAMS OF JOY(_) Pastor Jerry EzeAnother look at Today’s Focal Scripture would reveal something noteworthy: the three men that met Saul had different items. One had three kids (young goats), another had three loaves of bread, while the last man had a bottle of wine. The men all had something to offer.

Notice carefully, that Samuel instructed Saul to collect two loaves of bread only. Only one man had the loaves; So, God’s provision for Saul was in the hands of one man. Saul met three men, but he only needed something from one of the men. He met three men but only one really had a role to play in his life. He met three men, but only one had an assignment in his life.

Friend, as you run the race of destiny, One lesson is important: You will meet so many persons but not every man has an assignment in your life. You may meet several people who have things to offer, but not every one of them has the specific things you need. The mere fact you met someone doesn’t mean that God is about to use the person in your life.

God already knows what you need to move higher in life; he knows the people who have your provision; He knows the jobs you need. But when God allows the people you think you need to walk away, don’t run after them because you don’t need what they have!

When you run after men who have no roles to play in your life, you end up being dislocated. When you receive from men who don’t have your provision, you end up with provisions that will blur your vision.

Pray with me, “Lord, help me to draw a line between the men I need and those that I don’t need”.

Enjoy a Fabulous Wednesday!
