Its the Top 5 IKnowaNigerianCompetition
First, there were 150…then there were 20…and now [drum roll please!] the Victorious 5 emerge for the “I Know a Nigerian Star” Writing Competition. Our Judges Chika Oduah and Bola Essien-Nelson had a very tough call to make, I assure you.
As before, in no particular order, appreciate:
Fisayo Agunbiade!
{A 21 year old student of the University of Lagos, currently in third year and studying Economics.She has a passion for reading and expresses herself through writing.}
Henrietta Okafor!
{A post-graduate student of English and Literary Studies in the University of Nigeria Nsukka. She likes to read and write.}
Dr Tombari!
{A Doctor who loves to write…}
Stephanie Ohumu!
{A young woman who loves to read and create word paintings. ASUU and The Federal Government are engaged in a thug of war and we are the rope. No allowance for 3 months so…she’s hustling how best she knows; by writing.}
and…
Dr. Obiora Nnamdi!!!
{A medical practitioner currently working in Lagos. In spite of his profession, his true love is writing and he pursues that passion as much as his work permits. He is married to one wife.}
Amazing work guys!!!
But…there can only be three…who will emerge as the winners in the first edition of Konnect Africa’s #IKnowaNigerianStar…
KEEP CALM AND KEEP WATCHING THIS SPACE for the final unveiling at 3pm!!!
May the best writer win…… So sad though….
Congrats to the 5 finalists…Believe me people, it was difficult as there were so many many good stories….You read them and you are proud to be Nigerian. One, because this has shown that we have truly GOOD people doing truly great things under the radar all over the country. Two, because just reading the stories, I could not believe the amount of talent we have in this nation of ours. I say a big WELL DONE to every single person that sent in a story. You too, are stars!
[…] to our top 3, top 5, and top 20!!! You delivered awesome entries; making it this far out of 150 entries is no mean […]
Wow!! I’m so humbled and grateful!! Thank you so much Konnectafrica, and congratulations and all the best to the finalists, too. I’m a guy by the way 😀
