“And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up lest at any time, thou dash thy foot against a stone”. (Matthew 4 vs 6). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
When the devil sought to lead Jesus into the second temptation, he quoted Psalms 91 vs 11-12. Here is what it says, “For He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone”.
The devil quoted, “He shall give His angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone”.
The devil carefully omitted the phrase: “To keep thee in all thy ways”. The devil quoted an incomplete Scripture. He wanted Jesus to take action based on incomplete revelation. He wanted Jesus to act on an incomplete truth.
Friend, isn’t it possible that some things we expected in 2012 eluded us because of incomplete knowledge or revelations. Isn’t it possible that God has not allowed certain possessions to come to us because we are thriving in incomplete or partial understanding of His Word?
Today, hear God’s Counsel to you: Get it right with your revelation of God’s Word. Don’t seek ‘half truths’. Don’t accept incomplete encounters. Don’t settle for incomplete revelations. Don’t dwell in incomplete obedience to the words of God.
Remember the devil’s aim as he gave Jesus an incomplete revelation was to make Jesus act in error. When you walk in incomplete revelations, incomplete obedience and ultimately incomplete truth, you may likely end up walking in error.
Don’t be counted among those that know God’s Word partially; Let your revelations be complete!
Pray with me, “Lord, I choose to walk in Complete Revelations in Jesus name”.
Its going to be a Fantastic Tuesday!
