“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judah in the days of Herod the King, behold, there came wise men from the East to Jerusalem. “(Matthew 2 vs 1). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
As we continue with our meditation on the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem of Judah. We had already established that Judah means Praise, so Jesus was born in Praise. It is important to consider yet another Hebrew word that describes PRAISE, and that word is “HALAL”. Halal is the root word for Hallelujah. Among the several meanings of Halal, it means “To celebrate” or “To be clamorously foolish”.
Halal is that kind of Praise that celebrates God in a manner that seems foolish in the sight of men. Halal is the Praise that celebrates God in a manner that defies human comprehension. Halal is the Praise that celebrates God with the heart of gratitude.
Friend, as the year gradually winds up and in this season of celebrating the birth of Jesus; can you take your praise to the next level and celebrate God in the Halal mode. Celebrate God in a manner that may seem foolish in the sight of people. Can your praise cause a stir around you. Let your Praise be passionate and deliberate. Make your praise loud and intentional.
David understood the Halal mode of Praise. He danced before God until he nearly went naked.
Friend, despite all you have been through and all you are going through; don’t forget its time to raise your Praise to a ‘Halal’ level. Whether people are there or not,just praise!
Remember,Jesus was born in Praise, one more thing can be birthed in your destiny this year before the end of 2012 as you praise; so the Praise Party is still on! Yeaaaaaa!
