Dwell In Worship, That is Your Place
“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judah in the days of Herod the King, behold, there came wide men from the East to Jerusalem.” (Matthew 2 vs 1). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
One fact that stares us at the face concerning the birth of Jesus is the fact that He was born in Judah. Like we earlier observed, the Word JUDAH means PRAISE. Another Hebrew word that describes Praise is the Word “YADAH”. Yadah means “to worship with extended and raised hands”. It connotes a raising of hands in worship to God.
The significance of YADAH is Total Surrender. So, Praising God goes beyond the words, the music and the movement of the body. Its simply Humanity living in total surrender to Divinity. Away from that moment when your hands are raised, can you see YADAH from a deeper perspective – Living a life of Total Surrender.
So very often, we surrender somethings to God, but we hold dearly to others. We just wouldn’t let that anger go, because we believe its a part of us. We just wouldn’t forgive because we believe we have been hurt so badly. We just wouldn’t surrender those habits that eat up our spirit man because we believe we have been over-powered by them.
Friend, as the year ends; can you make a renewed pledge of total surrender to God. Nothing is too big to surrender to God. Its a sign of our Praise and worship to him.
Beloved, just surrender all to him. It may hurt. You may lose friends. You may be tagged foolish. You may feel denied. Its for a higher purpose! The entire Heavens will break out in Joy. Do it Friend!
You just mat never know what blessing has eluded you because of this lack of Surrender!
A Surrendered life is dead to the flesh. It is broken and vulnerable to the dealings of God. A Surrendered life never forgets eternity. A Surrendered always understands; “Not my will but the Will of the Lord”.
Pray with me, “Lord, I surrender to you, take all of me”.
Have a Fabulous Friday!
