“And when the tempter came to him, he said,if thou be the Son of god, command that these stones be made bread. And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down…” (Matthew 4 vs 3,6). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
It is important to observe that in the first two temptations that Jesus faced, the devil began by using the word “IF”. The devil said: “If thou be the Son of God”. The word “IF” connotes probability and uncertainty. Its a word we use when we are not sure of something or someone. So, when the devil asked, “If thou be the Son of God”, he was simply speaking like one who was unsure of Jesus personality.
Friend, can I bring you good news today? The devil has no idea of your destiny. Wait a minute, don’t even imagine that the devil knows everything. He knows what you allow him to know. He has no idea of the thoughts of God concerning you. He has no clear information on the glorious destiny, God is unfolding in your life.
The devil may fight you, but that’s because he has no clear information on your destiny. Your Personality is still a wonder to the devil. God never consults the devil in the design of your fabulous future. The devil only guesses. The devil may be aware of what has already happened in your life, but he can’t tell what is about to happen. Stop seeing the devil as a major factor in your destiny, and begin to see him as the helpless devil he is.
Hear this: If the devil didn’t author your life, he can’t finish it! If he didn’t write the script of your destiny, he can’t act it out. If he doesn’t have God’s Master Plan for your life in his drawer, forget it, he won’t succeed in stopping you! Stop focusing on the devil and dwell more in the fullness of God!
Pray with me, “Lord, I believe your Word, the devil didn’t author my life and he won’t finish it. devil, you are a liar”.
Have a Fabulous Friday!
