“…When thou art come thither to the city, then thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the High Place with a Psaltery, and a Tabret, and a Pipe, and a Harp, and before them;and they shall prophesy”. (1 Samuel 10 vs 5). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
Prior to the announcement of Saul as King, Prophet Samuel disclosed that he would walk into a company of Prophets. Saul was preparing to become King, and part of the process was for him to meet a Company of Prophets. He needed to spend time in the company of Prophets. To Prophesy is to speak God’s mind. So,Saul was to spend some time in company of people who spoke God’s mind. He needed to stay with people who would re-affirm the Words of God.
Friend, as you march on in the pursuit of your Purpose in life,you need to spend time in the company of Prophets. You need to spend time in the midst of people who speak the mind of God. You need to locate yourself in an atmosphere where God’s Word is elevated above the words of men. You need to enclose yourself in the midst of people who remind you of what God has said concerning you. You need to be with friends who look beyond what they see,to speak of what God says.
Today, do away with every company that isn’t prophetic. Do away with friends who only remind you of where you are now, not where God is taking you to. Walk away from people who are experts in magnifying the gloom they see around you. Don’t listen to people whose words make you lose steam.
Remember, Saul spent time in a Prophetic company, and shortly after, his Kingship announced. As you walk in the company of those who speak the mind of God, You will walk into unrivalled Royalty.
