n Today’s Focal Scripture,Saul decided to give up the search for the lost asses and return home. Saul was willing to give up the search for his father’s lost asses just to avoid getting his father worried. He was not prepared to get lost on account of what he was seeking.
Notice that when he wanted to give up,his servant suggested that they continue by visiting Prophet Samuel. In Old Testament times,Prophets spoke God’s Word. So,Saul’s servant was saying,”It okay not to get lost in our pursuit,but we can get lost to the Prophet”. The servant was simply saying,”I agree with you Saul that we shouldn’t lose our identities and Values to what we are pursuing but it isn’t wrong if we lose who we are to the Word of God”.
Friend,can you hear God whisper gently to your heart,He says,”ALLOW MY WORD TO TAKE ROOT IN YOU”. It’s an error for your material desires to consume your entire being,but you can never be wrong if you allow the Word of God give you a personality mold. Lose your automatic way of being to the Word of God. Lose that fear,lust,anger,jealousy to the word of God!
When men hurt you or walk away from you,don’t let their actions keep you depressed,lose your faculties to the Word of God. When God’s Word swallows your thoughts,your life becomes an evidence of the Supernatural. When God’s Word reigns in your heart and soul, you think through the word,you see through the word,you act through the word.
Beloved, Read the Word,Study the Word,Meditate on the Word, Confess the Word, Act the Word, Live by the Word and you will soon confess that your life has been Sweetened Sweatlessly!
