And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the Seer: Go up before me unto the High Place; for ye shall eat with me today, and tomorrow, I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart….And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy Father’s house?” (1 Samuel 9 vs 19-20). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today.
In Today’s Focal Scripture, Prophet Samuel gave a peep into Saul’s future. Samuel said, “On whom is all the desire of Israel on…?”. Samuel was making a veiled reference to Saul’s elevation as King of Israel. He was referring to a future that Saul was unaware of.
Saul’s past was marred with the loss of his father’s asses. Concerning his “Today”, Prophet Samuel said, “Eat with me”; but there was still a “Tomorrow” in which Kingship was waiting! Saul’s past (lost asses) and his present(dinning with Samuel) didn’t look like his future (Kingship). What Saul had been through was nothing compared to the height he was about to ascend.
Today,Hear God’s proclamation: There is Kingship waiting for you! Regardless of the pain of yesterday, the heartbreaks, the setbacks, the conspiracies, the backstabs, the failures and disappointments, Your Today and Tomorrow is great already!
Those that judged Saul harshly while he sought his father’s asses probably had no idea that he was about to become King. YESTERDAY’S LOSSES CANNOT STOP TODAY’S ROYALTY! Forget the naysayers, they may have read the introductory pages of your life, but they have no idea of the glorious conclusion! They have seen what happened to you, but they have not seen what is about to happen!
Discard the doom and gloom of Yesterday, through the eyes of faith, Can you see the boom of today?
With a smile on your lips, can you say this now, “All I see is Boom, Today and Tomorrow shall be glorious”!
Pray with me, “Lord, my Today and Tomorrow shall be greater than my Yesterday”.
Enjoy a Highly Rewarding Monday!
